The Shahid Hussain Foundation was set up in 2016 to support institutions providing education and healthcare services for the underprivileged members of the community.

Shalamar Hospital, a 300 bed facility in Lahore, provides need-blind healthcare services to over 10,000 patients per year.

LUMS (Lahore University of Management and Sciences) has become the premier higher education institution in Pakistan and is ably supported by the foundation. The Chaudary Nazar Muhammad Department of Economics is named after the founder of the Company.

SSC understands the responsibility of leading companies in correcting the balance and creating opportunities for women in the workplace. Training programs with NGOs such as Kashf Foundation prepare women for non-traditional roles in Manufacturing and Retail.
SUSTAINABILITY
SSC is committed to maintaining a strong focus on environmental sustainability across its entire value chain. The company actively invests in eco-friendly practices that reduce its environmental footprint. A notable example is the use of solar power, which accounts for over 30% of the energy requirements at SSC Manufacturing’s facility in the Sundar Industrial Estate.
Additionally, the company has implemented rainwater recovery systems using bore wells, which contribute to replenishing the local water table, supporting the surrounding area's water resources. SSC also prioritizes green spaces, with more than 20% of its land area designated as green cover, helping to enhance biodiversity and promote environmental balance.
Furthermore, the company employs solvent-free chemicals in its production processes, significantly reducing the environmental impact of its products. These initiatives reflect SSC’s ongoing dedication to sustainability and its proactive approach to environmental stewardship.
